Licences Errors
I HAVE THE CORRECT PLAYER VERSION BUT HAVE RECEIVED A WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER LICENCE ERROR
There are a number of things to check with regards to the failure of a licence. Please can you check the following:
1. Please ensure you are connected to the internet when attempting to download the licence
2. Please can you make the following changes to your Internet Explorer
a. Close down all web browsers
b. Right click on the Internet Explorer Icon on your desktop
c. Choose 'Properties'
d. Select the 'Security' tab (If this options does not show please open Internet Explorer and click on Tools then Internet Options, you should now see the security tab)
e. Click on 'Trusted Sites'
f. Click Sites
g. Remove the tick from 'requires server verification....' (if it's there)
h. Type on * .premiumtv.co.uk
i. Click 'Add'
j. Now type in *.windowsmedia.com
k. Click 'Add'
3. If you have gained a licence before, please follow the instructions below to resolve this problem
a. Open your WMP
b. Open the tools tab (if you have WMP 10 or above you may need to right click on the tool bar at the top of the player to see this option)
c. Choose options
d. Choose the privacy tab
e. If you have WMP 11 ensure 'download usage rights automatically' is checked. If you have WMP 10 or below ensure 'Acquire licenses Automatically' is checked
4. If this problem continues, please can you check your player for any updates available in an attempt to resolve this problem
a. Open your WMP
b. Open the Help tab (if you have WMP 10 or above you may need to click the arrow in the top right hand corner to see this option)
c. Choose 'check for player highlights'
d. Follow the onscreen instructions
