Job Description:

 

This role is to provide 2nd and 3rd line support to live websites and systems. Working with the Live Operations manager and a team of web, java and flash developers the role is to manage and maintain the number of requests in the support queue. Tasks undertaken cover a wide range of high traffic websites and services, and are often time critical.

 

There is a huge amount of scope to take ownership of the role and the work undertaken, actively looking to improve and manage the processes that underline the work. The candidate must be able to show intuition, innovation, motivation, enthusiasm and strong problem solving abilities along with the ability to work in a faced paced high availability environment.

 

The role is for 37.5 hours a week covering all days and includes shift patterns that will vary between 8am and 8pm Monday to Sunday. There may also be a requirement to occasionally work outside these hours when required.

• Achievement of established completed targets set by Live Ops managers

 

• Effective and concise communication

• Contribute to the team by sharing new ideas and technologies in meetings

 

• Accurately record your time spent on projects and communicate your progress made on tasks

 

• Work closely with other developers within department to ensure effective reusability

Experience:

 

• At least 3 years commercial experience working with web based technologies.
