JOB TITLE: MCR Operations Support Engineer
REPORTS TO: Central Operations Manager

Perform employs 345 staff and has offices in central London, Holland, Italy, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, India and the USA.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Experience of the broadcast industry is essential as is experience in Master Control Room (MCR) operations, video and baseband equipment. Be able to demonstrate at least 1 years experience in an MCR and working in a live environment. Knowledge of satellite communications systems is required.
• You must be organised, computer-literate have knowledge of Internet technologies (working knowledge of CMS tools, Web and Internet streaming technologies)
• You must be a good communicator - have good written and oral skills, good judgment, be confident, persuasive, approachable and dependable.
• Must be able to work on own initiative and also work well as part of a team.
• Must be able to work shift, which will include weekends, public holidays and overnights.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Monitor all key systems using tools provided and follow procedures when issues arise
• Monitor all live events and follow procedures when issues arise. Quality control and integrity checks of all incoming and outgoing video and audio signals.
• Operating master router switcher and ensuring in-house clients requirements are met. This includes correct configuration and operation of equipment in the MCR.
• Booking and operation of third party services e.g. space segments, terrestrial circuits etc
• Reporting service details to customers
• Answer technical support queries from clients and customers in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Escalate issues in line with policies and procedures and maintain ownership of issues through to their resolution
• Document and log issues and their oversee their resolution
• Ensure that appropriate support processes and procedures in are in place and adhered to
• Other duties as directed by the Operations Manager
