SO WHAT’S YOUR NEW ROLE ABOUT?

Perform is looking for a highly motivated Broadcast Engineering Manager to manage across our new broadcast engineering team. This team is primarily focussed on providing engineering support to the contribution, production and distribution of sports content to our OTT platform. This role will be to manage the on-shift team, acting as a point of technical escalation, working across the platform, with all internal and external parties helping to make improvement to process and systems. They will work on fault finding and reporting to drive continual service improvement to give the highest availability of systems.

The successful candidate must be passionate about broadcast, IP based media technology and working in live television. The candidate should have had previous supervisory/management roles combined with the knowledge and experience of broadcast systems, contribution & distribution encoding technology and understanding of satellite and fibre circuits.  The role will be suited for broadcast/network engineering supervisors/managers looking to build upon their skills using delivery technologies that will shape the future of live sports television. Building on experience in this role can provide future progression opportunities within the wider engineering management departments.

As part of a fast growing company they will have a hands-on approach to all elements of the work, and will want to be part of an enthusiastic team that are constantly striving to improve and develop for the company.

There is an expectation for the manager to be available during major events within the escalation matrix.
