JOB PURPOSE (SO WHAT’S YOUR NEW ROLE ABOUT?)

To support end users of the procurement and expenses modules globally. To provide technical and application support for the finance function consisting mainly of the Shared Service Centre team in Poland and central finance in the UK, but also several other finance team members globally.

Additionally to be a key member of projects requiring application expertise, to include data management, configuration, reporting development as required.

 

KEY DELIVERABLES (WHAT WILL YOU DO IN YOUR NEW ROLE?)

Supporting users with queries relating to the operation of the oracle financials applications as required; It will require the individual to learn about the application quickly and cover all areas of support as the need arises, although this role will focus on specific areas initially 40
Maintenance of the application as requests arise in a way that is consistent with the overall financial reporting objectives; this may include the set up of purchase items, the maintenance of intercompany relationships, management of ledger rules and approval hierarchies 40
Working with the project team in preparation of data during the onboarding of group companies not currently on oracle, which may include cleansing and loading of supplier or customer data, GL balances,  creating approval hierarchies or working on people data to ensure it will be ready for go live 10
Documentation of the solutions to issues arising and recording on ServiceNow, the business wide service portal, to ensure that the knowledge base continues to improve 10
 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS (DO YOU HAVE THESE ESSENTIALS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR AN INTERVIEW?)

Fluent written and spoken English
Accounting background willing to develop in Finance Applications or administrator background interested in learning Finance
Min 1 year experience in working on finance applications
Analytical and with excellent numeracy
Understanding of the structure of databases and willing to develop the knowledge of finance applications
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS (DO YOU HAVE THESE DESIRABLES?)
Flexible and willing to learn and adapt
Understanding of financial reporting environment will be a plus
Experience on working in Oracle Financial applications will be a plus
