SO WHAT’S YOUR NEW ROLE ABOUT?

Perform’s ample data collection teams in numerous offices and in the field collect content driving unique and market leading products for the sports media and betting world. Ensuring that our data output is consistent across the globe and that standardized data collection procedures and training programmes are in place and regularly refined is a key element to deliver the outstanding quality that our clients demand.

We are looking for an experienced management professional and training expert with in-depth knowledge of the Sports Data world to lead a global team of data specialists owning, defining and maintaining all end to end processes for the collection of data and the training of our data collectors. Spearheading the strategy for our collection and training tools, constantly reviewing and streamlining our collection procedures, driving and coordinating change and innovation through regular recommendations to the operational teams and running the communication with many of our stakeholders are core parts of the role.

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO IN YOUR NEW ROLE? % of role
Lead and develop the Data Ops Process Management and Training Teams, ensuring a consistent approach is implemented globally
Ensure Perform has a comprehensive and up to date set of processes and procedures across all its data types and sports – ensuring collection is executed in the most efficient and cost effective way whilst maintaining our increasing quality
Design, deliver and implement consistent training and blended learning processes for all data collection areas and finalise the roll-out of Perform Academy with a view to continuous improvement
Allocate workload and elements of process to the most appropriate operational team and effectively communicate changes – ensuring all individuals are clear on their accountability within the process and all teams in the hubs and in the field have the right training in place
Constantly challenge collection and training procedures as well as the operational structure analysing performance metrics and launching initiatives for operational improvement through regular recommendations
Support and promote the sharing and implementation of good practice across all operational teams and data types
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to always involve the operational teams in the creation of process and training on the one hand and to make sure that our data output meets client expectations and market requirements on the other hand
Manage programmes and projects across the whole of Data Operations and beyond in close cooperation with internal and external stakeholders
Work with the Document and Knowledge Management Team to document all training and collection procedures and to provide them in a useable format for the operational teams
Drive change, innovation and creative thinking and give input on Perform’s data strategy and vision in close cooperation with senior stakeholders and the Data Strategy Manager
Push the development and adoption of the tools and systems used to operationally deliver the required services steering the collection of requirements and the communication with Product Owners
Provide input and solutions for cross-divisional roll-out of consistent training within Perform
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS (DO YOU HAVE THESE ESSENTIALS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR AN INTERVIEW?) Skill Level (out of 4)
Has strong leadership skills, communicates effectively and has the ability to engage remote teams
Experience and ability in leading cross-functional global teams in the data collection business with significant training and resourcing requirements
Will have demonstrated success in a process led environment, previously responsible for the definition, review and continuous improvement of a set of operational processes and training programmes
Strong Change and Project Management skills and experience
Has a strong stakeholder focus, builds genuine partnerships with clients and is able to communicate at all levels. Manages tensions and expectations and leads internal stakeholders where required.
In-depth knowledge of core sports accompanied by a genuine passion and understanding
Extensive experience with collecting and drafting software requirements
Excellent standard of written/spoken English and good presentation skills
Confident using technical devices and passionate about technological innovations
Could show success in being a driving force for change and innovation
