SO WHAT’S YOUR NEW ROLE ABOUT?

 

The Post Production Support Engineer will be part of a dynamic team supporting post production systems.

 

The department in which this role is located, carries out support of the live ingest and Post Production editing platforms in a broadcast environment. Covering most audio/video related parts of the chain from signal acquisition, remote and local ingest to edit and on-demand delivery.

 

As part of a fast growing company, they will have a hands on approach to support and delivery of major and minor works projects. The role is well suited to post production engineers looking to build their skills and experience across broadcast, newsroom and OTT workflows.

 

The successful candidate must be passionate about Broadcast/IT engineering, Editing and internet related media technologies.

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO IN YOUR NEW ROLE?

Manage and deliver minor projects within the production facility

Shift engineer supporting post production operations

Perform maintenance of post-production systems.

Monitor platform systems and be responsible for the technical escalation process.

Communicate with and provide technical assistance to Media Managers, Editors and Operational staff

Participate in the delivery of major projects alongside project teams and technical specialists

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS (DO YOU HAVE THESE ESSENTIALS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR AN INTERVIEW?)  

Skill Level (out of 4)

MAM & NLE – Dalet MAM, Adobe CC (Premiere, AFX), Harmonic MediaGrid.

Projects & Installation – Wiring, System upgrades, Edit suite installation, System specification

MAM Systems – LTO Tape Archive (DIVA, Xendata), Object Matrix

Live production system workflows & Playout – (EVS, Evertz Dreamcatcher)

Transcode & distribution – Aspera, Vantage, Amberfin, DPP, Content Agent

DO YOU HAVE THESE DESIRABLES?

Knowledge of Windows Domain Security and Active Directory an advantage
Confident with Linux operating system (CentOS, RedHat)
Experience of IP contribution Mpeg Transport Stream Recorders
Familiar with Cisco Switches
Accurately communicate via internal ticketing system
Experience supporting Avid Pro-tools
