SO WHAT’S YOUR NEW ROLE ABOUT?

Perform Group is a rapidly growing company with equally rapidly evolving business needs.  In order to meet these needs new tools and software need to be evaluated, bought and integrated into the workflows that allow Perform Group to deliver the 1000’s of video streams, 10000’s of videos, 100,000’s of articles and millions of detailed sporting events that it does every year.

To enable us to manage the risk of such a fast growing business we are looking for a Senior Cloud Security Analyst to join us in a newly created role within our Group Technology function. The candidate will play a key role in our cloud security monitoring strategy and take lead of implementation, management and operation of cloud security monitoring. You will ensure that our cloud based services are appropriately monitored for suspicious behaviour, security issues are proactively identified and handled appropriately in coordination with key stakeholders across the organisation. This role will work closely with cloud operation teams, DevOps teams, development teams, supply chain partners, live media engineering and distribution teams as well as senior stakeholders.

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO IN YOUR NEW ROLE?

Leveraging your experience in security operations and security engineering you’ll implement, optimise and operate security monitoring of our web based cloud streaming platform.

Determine logging and auditing requirements and operationalise the requirements

Efficiently monitor and analyse security events and take appropriate action to investigate and remediate incidents

Work closely with DevOps teams to implement, optimise and automate security compliance monitoring

Ensure full documentation, regular and relevant reporting and diligent ticket management

DO YOU HAVE THESE ESSENTIALS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR AN INTERVIEW?

Skill Level (out of 4)

Three years of experience in security management/monitoring of cloud infrastructure

Five years of experience protecting/monitoring web applications

3

Professional qualifications suitable to the role (CISSP, ECSA, GCIA, GCED, or comparable)

Very strong knowledge and experience with setup, configuration, management and tuning of SIEM solutions including integration of new log sources

Extensive hands-on experience with Amazon AWS and cloud compliance solutions

Expertise with cloud security concepts, detection, prevention, and monitoring tactics for distributed cloud applications

DO YOU HAVE THESE DESIRABLES?

Experience with highly distributed applications, microservices, global load balancing and caching techniques
Experience with CDN providers, OTT content distribution, IP video technology, broadcast systems, contribution & distribution technology
Expertise in a broad array of systems and network security technical controls and processes (e.g., identity & access management, system hardening, network segmentation, incident response, intrusion prevention, DDOS mitigation, threat intelligence, etc.)
Excellent collaboration and communication skills (both written and verbal)
Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision and dedicated to deliver results
Ability to work in a team environment with aggressive deadlines and multiple priorities while staying a team player
Strong personality, able to quickly build positive cross functional relationships
Evidence of ongoing personal development in the information security profession e.g. research, tool development or personal blog
Interested in sports, sporting media, sports data and the sports industry
