Senior Video Editor (UK 0787)
|WHAT’S YOUR NEW ROLE ABOUT?|
As a Senior Editor, you will play a pivotal role in leading the creatives for both long and short sports programming for our newest territory – Canada! You will have the opportunity to create house styles and mentor the edit team to produce exciting and innovative ranges of content. Using strong operational and creative skills, you will enjoy creating high quality finishing across a range of content and material.
You will have solid technical understanding of edit equipment including patching, monitoring, use of legaliser, plug-ins, scopes/ software video and/or colour monitoring tools and PSC plug-ins.
You will thrive in our fast-paced environment and have extensive experience delivering fast-turnaround projects, meeting broadcast deadlines for delivery and using your creative flair for promo work.
Please be aware that although this role is predominantly Monday to Friday, there will be some requirement to be flexible in line with exciting sporting events across difference timezones.

|WHAT WILL YOU DO IN YOUR NEW ROLE? % of role|
|Edit sports content to include working on promos, match day features, magazine shows and preview and review packages.||50%|
|Manage the edit team to provide them with guidance, mentoring and training and to instil key house styles.||20%|
|Work closely with the Post Production Operations Manager on strategy for the edit team technically, operationally and managerially.||10%|
|Determine the look and style of certain packages communicate them effectively to the rest of the team.||10%|
|Represent the edit department on all key working practice updates, working closely with relevant support teams to ensure any workflow developments, software/ hardware upgrades are fully tested and approved for operational use.||10%|
|DO YOU HAVE THESE ESSENTIALS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR INTERVIEW?|
|Avid Online QC skills, Premiere-based editing software skills and experience using interplay.|
|Broadcast experience in both long and short-form editing.|
|Avid sports fan.|
|Grading ability using the Avid Symphony colour correction tools and good knowledge of both Boris and Sapphire plugins.|
|Understanding of technical support lines, and the ability to ensure these processes are followed and deadlines upheld.|
|DO YOU HAVE THESE DESIRABLES?|
|Experience leading or managing an edit team.|
|Adobe Premier experience|
|Understanding of new tapeless ingest workflows and/or exposure to traditional SDI workflows.|
|Experience in creating GFXs and an understanding of GFX workflows.|
