|SO WHAT’S YOUR NEW ROLE ABOUT?|
The role of the SEO Analyst is to support the SEO manager in the day to day optimisation of all of Perform Groups websites in terms of search engine visibility, driving increased traffic via the use of technical or content recommendations.
SEO Technical proficiency is, a potentially, important aspect of this role with the candidate having the ability to examine a website and draw out technical recommendations, utilising software such as Screaming Frog and industry tools such as Google Search Console.
Another, potentially, important aspect of this role is the ability to undertake keyword research and produce creative content suggestions, editorial calendars and content templates.
The candidate will also be comfortable with large scale data analysis and drawing out insight and recommendations from this analysis.
The role is a fast paced and varied one, working with colleges across many teams, and websites, across the globe, including many market leading properties.

|WHAT WILL YOU DO IN YOUR NEW ROLE?||% of role|
|Undertake comprehensive technical audits of websites and make suggestions for areas of optimisation (structure, content, on page optimisation) that would lead to an increase in organic search traffic.||25|
|Ability to research a topic area, undertake comprehensive keyword research, and create detailed content plans for implementation by our editorial teams, considering your research and editorial best practice.||25|
|Ability to compile summary reports of SEO performance and report these findings to senior team members and potentially senior management, including the ability to explain the ‘why’ behind any traffic changes, as well as ensuring recommendations for future growth are made.||13|
|Ability to analyse, and manipulate, large amounts of data and draw out insight or recommendations from this data that could positively effect search engine performance/visibility.||13|
|Analyse, and create summaries of competitors’ current search engine visibility, content tactics and overall SEO strategy.||13|
|DO YOU HAVE THESE ESSENTIALS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR AN INTERVIEW?||Skill Level (out of 4)|
|Knowledge and experience of standard SEO technical auditing tools, including Screaming Frog.||3|
|Good experience of, and familiarity with, Google Analytics and Google Search Console, and drawing out insights and actions from the data these tools provide.||4|
|Experience of using SEO industry tools, including SEMRUSH & AHREFs.||3|
|Medium to Advanced knowledge of Excel, including Pivot tables.||3|
|Good knowledge of other Office applications; PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.||4|
|Ability to be creative, and create content solutions that meet both SEO and editorial needs.||3|
|Confident in creating editorial content plans & content suggestions||3|
|Genuine interest and knowledge of at least one sport, ideally football (soccer).||4|
|DO YOU HAVE THESE DESIRABLES?|
|Advanced understanding of HTML, with the ability to hand code from scratch within a text editor.|
|Experience of an agile web development environment and experience of using JIRA & Confluence.|
|Knowledge of database design and PHP, or other dynamic languages.|
|Google Analytics qualified, and Google Tag Manager experience.|
|Genuine interest and knowledge of multiple sports from around the globe, including soccer (worldwide), NBA, NFL, NHL and popular European Sports.|
|Comfortable and experienced in presenting to senior stake holders|
|Ability to extract insight and optimize content and SEO strategy across multiple languages, fluency in more than one language a plus|
