SO WHAT’S YOUR NEW ROLE ABOUT?

 

As a Software Architect with the Sports Data Architecture Team you will work within the Architecture department. You will take on the responsibility of the various systems responsible for acquisition, modelling and distribution of all kinds of sports data, including fast, deep and broad data.  They are also responsible for the integration of the various sports data systems.

 

You will have proven ability with working with stakeholders to establish their requirements and designing and implementing the architecture, taking the technical leadership of teams of software developers, ensuring that the result in reliableperformant and secure.

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO IN YOUR NEW ROLE? % of role
Establish both functional and non-functional requirements of stakeholders 20%
Design architectures using industry standard methodologies and present to stakeholders. 30%
Take both leading and hands-on roles in the implementation of the solution 30%
Investigate issues and identify and initiate quality improvement measures 10%
Manage disruption free migrations and system shutdowns 10%
DO YOU HAVE THESE ESSENTIALS TO BE CONSIDERED FOR AN INTERVIEW? Skill Level (out of 4)
Demonstrable experience of delivering successful large scale, high availability, high quality, high performance architectures involving a wide variety of systems and technologies 4
Experience developing in Java and Node.JS against Oracle RDBMS and NoSQL systems 3
Experience with supporting, maintaining and troubleshooting live systems 3
High degree of skill modelling complicated data structures 3
Hands-on ability to implement solutions 3
Experience with designing and documenting solutions using industry standard methodologies 3
Experience acting as both a team and technical lead on multiple projects 3
Ability to consider multiple stakeholders requirements in a rapidly changing environment 2
DO YOU HAVE THESE DESIRABLES?
Experience with Agile, SCRUM, JIRA, Confluence and BitBucket
Experience with ArchiMate and SPARX Enterprise Architect
