SO WHAT’S YOUR NEW ROLE ABOUT?

 

As Submissions Manager, you will support the on-going technical delivery of DAZN, a sports video streaming service across web, mobile and living room devices (game consoles, connected TVs, Blu-ray players, and set-top boxes).

 

You will be responsible for supporting our product and software development teams to work a single point of contact with all submissions of builds to external partners (including Console, TV and Mobile manufactures) to deliver DAZN on new platforms and update those already in market.

 

You will collaborate with internal teams across product, development and QA on timelines and communications to ensure that business objectives are met and manufacture requirements are delivered and approved within the applications.

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO IN YOUR NEW ROLE? % of role
Review and approve proposed development releases and manage the release process through hardware manufacture submission processes. 40%
Working with the QA Team to ensure all pre-launch defects are correctly prioritised and resolved in a timely manner to meet the agreed launch dates 30%
Ensure business objectives are met and risks are managed, resolving technical problems in a timely and cost-effective manner. 15%
Manage multiple internal and external software development teams to deliver and enhance a best in class digital video service. 10%
Collaborate with the Product and UX teams on the product requirements documents, inc.  wireframes, user flows and detailed designs. 5%
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
Degree in Computer Science or relevant experience in software delivery.
Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a fast-paced online environment
Proven experience leading submissions processes and approvals through partners.
Excellent organisational and coordination skills with Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of Hardware Manufacture Requirements, inc. Submission Materials.
Strengths in problem solving, issue-resolution, ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
Must have experience in managing outsourced software development partners.
Understanding of the challenges of launching products in multiple, non-English speaking markets.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations and drive actions.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of end-to-end video delivery technologies an advantage.
Certified Scrum Master (Scrum Alliance or scrum.org)
General interest in sport a real advantage.
German, French or Japanese language skill sets also an advantage.
Excellent communication and influencing skills with all seniority levels
