Perform celebrates its 10-year anniversary by completing a hat-trick at the TV Sports Awards!
The TV Sports Awards (TVSA) were hosted on Monday 23rd October in Monaco, honouring the best work in the sport media industry. John Gleasure (Chief Commercial Officer, DAZN) walked away with the Media Executive of the Year award, Perform Group was named Sports Media Company of the Year and DAZN were joint winners of the Best Sports Project award.
The TV Sports Awards 2017, in conjunction with SPORTEL Monaco, recognise and celebrate excellence in the sports media industry, whilst raising funds for the Play for Change foundation.
Since the launch of DAZN a year ago, John has played a pivotal role in the establishment and maintenance of key commercial partnerships and relationships with rights holders as DAZN has launched and began to expand across the globe. John’s influence in the success of DAZN to this point cannot be underestimated, leading a very strong commercial team and actively seeking new rights tenders’ and managing key commercial partnerships.
The launch of DAZN, the NFL agreement, the Conmebol joint venture with IMG, the data and integrity deal with LaLiga, the operational success of WTA and FIBA Media and the continued success of Opta and RunningBall, show that Perform has made a huge impact on the industry and has delivered an unparalleled performance over the last 12 months.
