JOB SPECIFICATION
JOB TITLE: Java Developer
REPORTS TO: Client Services Java Manager
DIRECT REPORTS: None
LOCATION: Feltham, Middlesex
HRS: Standard (37.5 hours)
JOB SUMMARY: Deliver high quality, cutting edge java solutions for Perform's sport and entertainment clients.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop web-based applications using Java Servlets/JSP.
Object oriented software design (UML).
SQL development and database schema design for Oracle 10g.
Working in a structured environment with analysis/design, coding standards, code review, unit testing, source code management and documentation.
Work closely with other developers within department to ensure effective code reusability.
Work closely with project managers to clarify specifications and provide accurate estimations.

EXPERIENCE:
At least 3 years commercial experience working with Java based web applications.
JOB SKILLS:
- Core Java, Servlets/JSP, JSTL, SQL, JavaScript, HTML (3 years);
- Oracle (query and schema design);
- Struts;
- XML/XSLT;
- AJAX;
- JQuery;
- Problem solving / bug fixing.
PERSON SKILLS:
- Self motivated and Proactive;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- High attention to detail;
- Flexible attitude/ability to work together/team player;
- Interest in football/sport/entertainment desirable but not essential;
- Open, honest and approachable working method.
