JOB TITLE: Channels & Joint Ventures Divisional Accountant

 

 

REPORTS TO: Business Analyst

HRS: 37.5 hours per week

 

 

LOCATION: Feltham, Middlesex

 

 

COMPANY BACKGROUND:

 

Perform is the UK's leading supplier of innovative and commercially focused websites for Sports Rights holders and brand, and has gone through a period of dramatic growth across all of its business entities. Perform's client list includes Spurs; Chelsea FC; The Football League; FAPL; Bet 365; Ladbrokes; EMI; Virgin.

This newly created role is working within the Finance department, reporting directly to the Head of Management Accounts, supporting the Channels Division with internal and external monthly reporting. The Channels division is responsible for producing, packaging and distributing digital content rights to third party distributors across TV, Mobile, IPTV and broadband. The division is experiencing rapid growth, volumes of live content increasing, Joint ventures & acquisitions as well as strong revenue growth expected over the next three years - as such this role offers the opportunity to develop and progress quickly.

 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Accurate monthly revenue reporting of Channels revenues to both group and individual clients. Due to the rapid growth in the channels business this will involve complex client revenue share allocation, with revenues attributable to various rights holders and clients.

Reconcile balance sheet accounts for all channels clients and rights holders on a monthly basis.

Prepare, review and amend the Channels P&L and Balance sheet on a monthly basis (Raising relevant accruals, prepayments and intercompany transfers, with full supporting documentation).

Prepare, review and amend the Joint Ventures and Acquisitions Business P&L's and Balance sheets on a monthly basis (Raising relevant accruals, prepayments and intercompany transfers, with full supporting documentation).

Ensure that all Revenue invoices are raised in a timely manner at the end of the month.

Working closely with the rights acquisitions and sales teams to ensure that rights purchase orders are correctly processed accordingly.

Attend monthly business review meetings with senior management of the Channels Division.

Working closely with the Head of FP&A in the rolling monthly forecast and annual budget processes, rights and client contract renegotiations.

Work with the Channels team to improve systems, ensuring that work is automated as much as possible.

 

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

 

Degree in a numerate subject.

Part qualified CIMA or ACCA, with a minimum two years experience in Finance.

Good understanding of the fundamentals of accounts (preferably with a background in financial accounting).

Advanced Excel skills, with demonstrable speed in using complex spreadsheets.

Ability to develop relationships within the Finance team and with commercial staff in the wider business.

The company's culture is very entrepreneurial; so the successful candidate will be enthusiastic and able to demonstrate that they are a self starter, who can work effectively with little supervision.

Knowledge of Access Dimensions would be advantageous.
