JOB TITLE: Head of Project Management

 

 

REPORTS TO: Chief Technology Officer

 

 

DIRECT REPORTS: Yes (4 Project Managers)

 

 

HRS: 37.5 hours per week

 

 

LOCATION: Feltham, Middlesex

 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:  

 

To manage the delivery of client services projects throughout their lifecycle from initiation and specification through to testing and delivery.

To develop and administer best practice in the way that we manage projects and in the way that the project management team is managed.

To ensure that projects are delivered to the highest quality and that our clients are impressed with Perform.

To act as line manager to other project managers.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

Manage projects effectively and efficiently for Perform's strategic clients.

Work closely with strategic clients to understand and document their requirements and to move them efficiently through the project lifecycle.

To work with other members of the Technology Team to ensure that solutions are technically robust and are in line with the company's overall technical strategy.

Participate in prioritization and allocation of resources with Senior Management.

Report on project progress internally and externally.

Liaise closely with Account Managers to ensure client satisfaction.

Work with other departments to prioritize work in line with company and client objectives.

Manage other project managers in accordance with company HR policies and procedures.

Ensure that projects are delivered in accordance with processes and frameworks necessary for the effective functioning of the Technology Department as a whole.

Ensure that projects adopt best practice with regard to web and streaming media technologies (e.g. accessibility, usability security etc.).

Constantly strive to improve company performance and processes.

Carry out other tasks requested by Senior Management where these are agreed to be reasonable and achievable.

Delivering stable and cutting edge products.

Contributing to a positive view of Perform's technical competence.

 

 

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS: 

 

Projects delivered on time and to client satisfaction.

Appropriate project management processes and techniques are in place and are adhered to.

Ensure that all products are documented to the level required by Central Operations.

Ensure that testing and quality assurance procedures are adhered to.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

Be able to demonstrate at experience as a lead project manager at a high level in a major technology services company.

Ideally in delivering web based and audio video streaming products, but definitely high value, high profile projects.

Have in depth and practical knowledge of best practice with regard to project management techniques.

Be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and man management skills.

Have relevant technical skills and knowledge.
