JOB SPECIFICATION
JOB TITLE: Web Developer
REPORTS TO: Web Development Manager
Direct Reports: None
HRS: 37.5 hours per week
LOCATION: Feltham, Middlesex
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
To create products using Perform's content management toolkit that delight our customers. Maintain our products to keep them functional and attractive.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Deliver attractive, functional products that meet the specification.
Work closely with other members of the Technology Department to specify changes required to meet specifications.
Liaise directly with clients to achieve sign off.
Maintain products in the light of client requests, support issues and changes in technology.
Ensure that technical work is carried out in accordance with processes and frameworks necessary for the effective functioning of the Technology Department as a whole.
Deliver projects on time and to client's expectations.
Report progress and issues to the Web Development Manager.
Ensure that support processes and procedures in are in place and adhered to especially with regard to documenting issues of relevance to 1st line support staff..
Resolve technical issues as escalated by Central Operations in accordance with relevant procedures and policies.
Adopting best practice with regard to web and streaming media technologies (e.g. accessibility, usability, security etc.).
Constantly strive to improve company performance and processes.
Carry out other tasks requested by Senior Management where these are agreed to be reasonable and achievable.
Contribute to a positive view of Perform's technical competence.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
Projects delivered on time and to client satisfaction.
Products must adhere to internal and external SLA's.
Ensure that all products are documented to the level required by Central Operations.
Ensure that all technical issues are resolved in accordance with internal or external SLAs.
Follow testing and quality assurance procedures.
REQUIREMENTS:
Be able to demonstrate at least 3 years experience as a web developer with high level knowledge of HTML, CSS and java script.
Be able to demonstrate methodical approach to achieving objectives including attention to detail and ownership of issues.
To be able to communicate effectively and appropriately with clients.
Have worked in a high volume Internet environment.
