Perform Sales, the wholly owned subsidiary of Perform, today announced the acquisition of rival sales house, No. 9 Media, creating a major UK media player. The combination of the Perform Sales and No.9 Media advertising sales networks means combined traffic of over 11.5 million monthly unique users and over 105 million monthly page impressions as well as 10 million premium sports videos per month.

The Perform Sales network includes major sites such as: www.nufc.co.uk, www.westhamunited.co.uk, www.vitalfootball.co.uk, www.rangers.co.uk, www.mfc.co.uk, www.fulhamfc.com and www.surreycricket.com. In addition, Perform Sales manage online video advertising sales across Virgin Media's market-leading V Player video network which syndicates over 10 million premium sports videos featuring Premier League and Football League highlights, across key publisher websites, including The Sun, The Times, Telegraph, Daily Mail, FourFourTwo, 4theGame and FHM.

The No.9 Media network includes major football and sports portals amassing 3 million unique users and over 30m page impressions, including: Goal.com, FansFC.com, Clubfanzine.com, EatSleepSport.com, Football.co.uk, and Footy-boots.com.

Formed following the merger of Premium TV and Inform Group in August 2007, Perform Sales' mission is to become the UK's leading third party sales house for premium sports and entertainment sites.

Oliver Slipper, joint-CEO at Perform commented: "The launch of the V Player in August 2007 ensured we operated the largest premium sports video network in the UK. The acquisition of No.9 Media gives us an even stronger position in the display market."

No.9 Media was founded by Iain Linkleter and Justin Brookfield. Iain, Chief Executive at No.9 Media, joins the Board of Perform Sales as a Non-Executive Director and will continue to be actively involved in the ongoing management of the business.

Iain Linkleter said: "This acquisition is a very exciting development for the market, both for publishers and brands. It combines two enthusiastic and ambitious sales houses, both focused on delivering value to brands and maximising returns for publishers."

The key employees from No.9 Media will all transfer over to Perform, with Darren Kietz becoming Sales Director reporting to Stefano D'Anna, Managing Director at Perform Sales.
