Leading global digital sports specialist Perform has signed a four year deal with ITV Mobile to provide clip production services for all of ITV's senior England and FA Cup matches.
Starting with ITV's broadcast of England v Kazakhstan on October 11, within five minutes of a goal being scored or significant action on the pitch unfolding, Perform will provide ITV's mobile partners with between six and eight in-match clips as well as two minutes of highlights footage to distribute to football fans, keeping them up to date with all the action, wherever they are.
The partnership follows hot on the heels of the recently announced clip production deal between the Football Association and Perform and compliments the mobile and internet clip production service Perform already provides for the Premier League.
ITV will benefit from Perform's extensive clip production service which features a dedicated, near-live state of the art production facility capable of multi-format distribution to partners globally within minutes of the event. Perform's professional editing team will produce a running edit of the feed to create a short clip, apply customised commentary and distribute optimised mobile content to the mobile partners.
Melissa Goodwin, Head of Mobile, ITV, said: 'Perform's production and technical experience was really the key for us as we were looking for a long term partner that had proven credentials in delivering under tight deadlines."
Oliver Slipper, joint CEO of Perform, said: "Our clip production service is custom-built for sport production ensuring that premium content is delivered to mobile partners at an unrivalled speed. This deal will enable ITV to maximize its digital rights across the mobile platform keeping football fans updated with all the action, as it happens."
